Welcome

FFCCWelcome to the website of the Friends of Shebbear College.

Here you will find information about the organisation and the people involved, find out about its aims and what it has been able to achieve for the pupils, staff and wider community of Shebbear College.

CD_PlayerThe Friends of Shebbear College are a small and informal group of parents who get together on a regular basis to organise fun, social and fundraising events throughout the year. We are a registered Charity and our primary aim is to raise funds for Shebbear College to help pay for additional items which will benefit the children, enrich the curriculum and improve the school environment.

DofE_CampingOur second aim is more of a social one. We aim to make our events as inclusive as possible, ensuring that they attract attention from across the local community as well as the whole school, from the Kindergarten to the Sixth Form.

Easter_FayreThe Friends of Shebbear College also like to help out at various school events and productions throughout the year, as and when required. For example, we help to serve the teas and coffees after Harvest Festival, refreshments at school productions and concerts, we run some of the stalls at the Easter Fayre and we help to serve match teas after sporting events.

WarhammerThere is also a very social aspect to being a member or helper within the Friends group. We are always looking to hear from people who would be willing to help out in any way they can and it is an ideal way of meeting new people who have the best interests of the school and their children at heart. At present our group consists of parents who have children in all stages of the school, from the Kindergarten to the Sixth Form.

If you feel you would like to become part of the Friends group, please feel free to come along to any of our meetings.

The Friends of Shebbear College organise fun, social and fundraising events throughout the year in order to achieve their aims. Details of these events can be found in the Forthcoming Events section of the site.
